Family friendly and cozy

We recently stayed in a spacious two-bedroom apartment that felt very family-friendly. The kitchenette was perfect for us to whip up a quick meal for the kids after a long day of exploring!

It wasn’t the cheapest place but still acceptable for the quality we experienced.

Fantastic Location with Comfortable Accommodation

During our recent stay for two nights, we enjoyed the spacious and clean room that offered a wonderful spa bath, perfect for relaxation after exploring Akaroa. The kitchenette was well-equipped, which made it easy to prepare light meals. The on-site parking was highly convenient, eliminating any worries about finding space elsewhere. the wifi could use some improvement as it was sometimes difficult to connect.

I loved the warm atmosphere of the lodge, which made my rainy day feel cozy. The spacious living area with comfy couches was perfect for just relaxing.

The heating was a bit underwhelming for the chilly weather. It struggled to keep the room warm, and I couldn't find any extra blankets during my stay.

the mattress was unexpectedly lumpy, hardly what I’d classify as 'stylish accommodation. ' i was also greeted with rudeness, which is simply unbecoming for a place meant to provide luxury. a complimentary gesture or room upgrade woudl ve been nice but clearly, they didn’t prioritize my stay. i almost considered a good review, but simply couldn’t let that pass.

This place was an excellent fit for a quick stop in Akaroa with attractive and competitive value for money. I loved the warm atmosphere, which made my rainy day feel cozy after my return from a long day out. Make sure to ask how to handle keys if you're leaving early, as we had to figure it out ourselves.

Check-in was a hassle. we arrived on time, but no one was at the desk initially, leading to a frustrating wait. The apartment felt stuffy, with no air conditioning or even a fan to cool things down during the heat, and the lack of a proper kitchen setup limited cooking options significantly. the balcony view was overshadowed by trash bins, which was less than pleasant. Lastly, the lack of privacy due to passersby constantly walking by made it hard to relax.

During our stay in the Honeymoon Suite, we were delighted by its spacious layout and the luxurious corner spa bath that provided the perfect opportunity to unwind after a day of exploring. The suite was clean, and the bed exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The kitchenette was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare light meals easily. Plus, the location was a mere two minutes from the wharf, providing easy access to various eateries and cafes.
